If you were to downsize from a g35??

I might be looking into downsizing into a cheaper car from my G. I do have a great love for my car and it will always still be my dream car, i'm truly blessed to be owning it right now. But to be honest, I kind of want a car I can beat on and really not care about dents happening or paint chips, or anything of that sort. I baby my G to much and as a 18 year old I really kind of want to just have tons of fun with a car and not have to worry about damaging it.

Anyone got some suggestions?? I wouldn't be modding the engine for reliability costs, so give me some cars with hella reliable engines just like our babies with the VQ

Are you angry at OP or angry at yourself for letting go? Let's all hold hands.

OP, you're really gonna have to be more specific on what you're looking for. Do you want a car thats sporty still or is that not an issue? Is mpg a factor? Is it strictly reliability issue or do you need any sort of utility? Do you want something stylish so you can at least act like you give af about your existence as a man? Or do you want a torn up Pontiac Sunfire so you chase all the girls away?

Or maybe you like dudes (hell, I don't know) and you want something that'll attract a little Asian boy.

We really need to know yer style, what you want from the car, your budget and your sexual orientation to help you.

well, as of now i drive a Camery as my daily. Better on gas and less time at the pump since i have to drive 42 miles one way to work. There is no way i am driving my G every day in traffic riding the breaks all the way to work and all the way back. With this new job i have i probable will drive the camery 95% of the time to work since my car is loud on start up in the mornings. No need to wake the neighbors. Maybe you can look into scions if your getting rid of your G.

Hate to break it to you but the VQ isn't exactly the most reliable motor available. But considering that the G is now old and becoming like a Civic in the car market, I agree with Jersey - just drive the thing.

Get an older Toyota Tacoma. Best goddamn vehicle I ever owned... the thing is practically invincible. I've had 2001 Taco 4x4 for 14 years and it runs as good as the day I got it with no end in sight and literally almost nothing done to it other than routine maintenance. It's not fast though, if you care about that at all.

Are you not able to afford the G? If that's so it's a different story, but putting all questions aside, I'd buy a accord or camry. I had a 99 camry that wouldn't die. Great cars in terms of reliability, but not much else

Until your battery pack throws the IMA light as a result of battery failure. Then you're in for an expensive repair bill for that one part which is now out of warranty on every first gen Insight out there (8 year 100K factory warranty).

Depends on where you live. Luckily I'm in SoCal, so there are a few guys in LA who specialize in them (hardcore cult following) and you can get a rebuilt battery for around $600 with core. That being said, you can still get around 50mpg without the IMA.
