Beeping as if I'm trying to lock the key in the car
My '07 coupe recently started beeping when I get in the car and close the door with the key inside. Once I close the door, both doors unlock and there is a fast beeping for about 3 seconds. If the key is not in the vehicle then it doesn't beep or unlock. It's behaving as if it thinks I'm trying to lock the key inside so I'm assuming this means a control module or sensor has gone bad. I searched the forum and found several threads about beeping, but none with a solution to this behavior. Anyone else experienced this?

do you have an aftermarket alarm? that beeping sounds aftermarket but then again idk what the intellikey beep sounds like since i dont have one

That's definitely the Ikey chime. Still unsure about why, OP have you tried to change the battery out to see if that changes anything?

I'd go through the troubleshooting table for the I-key in the owner's manual. Any programmed alert like that is going to be described. If you don't have a manual you should be able to download from the Infiniti website.

Has there been any solution found? I’m having the same problem with my 07 coupe AT and haven’t found anything on the forums.
