Why does my G make this noise when I start it up from a cold start?
https://*******/JSSQ
whenever I start it from a a cold start it makes a squeeling noise and I think it's the belt. I've used belt conditioner on it and it didn't seem to help however once the car is warm and or I drive it the squeeling goes away. A mechanic told me that he belt might be loose and needs to be tightened what do you guys think I included a video hopefully the audio is good and you guys can hear the noise. |
Don't use belt lube on anything modern. Wipe off anything you put on and tighten up the belt!

When was the last time you changed your serpentine belt? If you haven't changed your serpentine belts I would suggest you buy new ones and change them. Hope that solves your issue.

Only noise your G should be making is the grinding noise from the traction control that lasts less than two seconds when you start! Anything else like the squeel you mentioned, replace the belt and tighten correctly! (what vid, only saw a commercial?)

Could also be rusty bearings in an idler pulley. Sometimes if it's rainy or humid out those bearings can get a bit noisy when you first start a vehicle up and it will go away eventually when the packed grease gets warmed up, liquifies and spreads back around over the bearings.

I didn't listen but mine makes a noise when oil gets a qt low. Sounds like a belt squeal but goes away when oil is full.
