OBD II Plug-In?

On the coupe, where is the OBD-II plug in located? A fried of mine has an OBD-II scanner that can reset the CEL among other things, along with resetting the ECU; I'm curious where the plug in is located in case I decide to use it.

Thanks
Dave

It's located under the dash by the gas pedal. If you look underneath slightly, you'll see the 16 pin plug.

If I could figure out how to attach a picture, I'd show ya.

Im pretty sure on mine its located not by the gas pedal but right by the hood release

Cool, thanks, that gives me a good enough idea where to find it

Here you go. The port is located on the underside of the dash to the left of the steering wheel, below and to the right of the hood release.
In the picture, it's the white rectangle flanked on the ends with a philips screw.

There is a pop off panel to the right of the hood release. I popped it off and there is no connector there. WTF? Must I get on my back and look under the dash to find it?

When sitting in the driver seat, lift your left knee straight up, it hits the OBD2 plug. No panel to remove. It's possible someone unbolted yours and tucked it up under the dash to use some kind of data monitor plugin device.

15 years later, I'm assuming you found it :)

Well, yeah. Significantly modded my G35 (I think there's a link in my .sig), sold it, and moved on to a BMW M4.

The OBD port is slightly to the right of the Engine hood latch

Moving the driver's seat back as far as possible & laying on your back you will see the OBD port (white colour)

Thanks, but, ummm.....got the answer about 15 years or so ago.

It's this guy's fault for hijacking the thread a couple months back :)
