what could it be?

so my front tires are tight AF, but ever since ive bought the car my rear tires both of them th lug nuts get lose over time when am driving, like last night i heard that knocking noice on the rear just like i did right before my studs broke and i went out and started tight'ing my lug nuts and surely enough both rear tires lug nuts were lose. iam honestly really confused cause there is no suspension play ni both the ties suspension is tight, an both rims and tires and in decent shape.

What do u guys thing my problem might be? smh

yes lug nuts are the correct type already searched that

When you say "tight AF" you mean they are properly torqued to 80 ft/lbs using a calibrated torque wrench right?

This isn't a massey ferguson tractor, you MUST use a torque wrench.

qazam96 02-24-2018 11:35 AM

i mean not with a torque wrench but they are on there good for me to not be able to move them with my wrench, am actually concerned its a huge safety issue and the weathers getting better so am having the itch to drive it more and more lol smh

I'm actually concerned for it's huge safety issue as well...

Never heard of this happening before on a G or any car for that matter. What kind of replacement studs did you put on? Maybe the metal is soft and the threads are deforming and allowing the lug nuts to back off. Are your wheels balanced and true round?

cleric670 02-24-2018 02:02 PM

Are you using OEM wheels, take a picture of one of the lug nuts you're using and post it here. Are you using shank or mag nuts or acorns?

qazam96 02-24-2018 03:28 PM

okay so happens that the studs that i replaced dont get lose the rear left, but i think the studs on the rear right are messed up, am gonna be taking it to my bois shop and posting pictures soon. but it seems like the studs on the right rear might be messed up. and the replacement studs were OEM studs i got from chase auto. wheels are oem and the lug nuts are OEM spec from chase auto too

Hopefully you aren't using spacers?

qazam96 02-24-2018 04:11 PM

no, no spacers

Take the wheel off and look on the back side of the hub to verify the studs are FULLY PRESSED INTO THE HUB. It's possible they're just sticking out a tiny bit and didn't get pressed in all the way and are slowly "pressing themselves in" as you drive which in turn makes the lug nuts loose.
