Want to buy back my G35 Coupe. Can I find the new owner of it?

I traded my 2006 G35 Coupe Ivory Pearl to the dealer back in March 2014 (Infiniti of Ardmore, PA). The baby was clean in and out with only 55k miles on the odo. I know it's a long shot but is there a way to find out who the new owner is and see if they're willing to sell it?

Why bother? You forget to remove a wad of $100 bills or some incriminating evidence rom a hidden compartment? LOL

Call your insurance, explain what's going on, give them the VIN. They can probably act as a middle man to contact the new owner, insurance companies can look up owner by VIN.

EDIT: The dealership you traded it to can probably try to contact whoever they sold the vehicle to if you ask nicely.

Yeah, why not just get another? It's had more owners at this point anyway, so you still won't know (*for sure*) about the maintenance. Find a low mileage one and start over.

Only reason I could see wanting your specific old car back would be if it was a super rare color combo, but an 06 wouldn't have had any special options.

Infact, you should try to find a low mileage 04 IP with black interior and Brembos and you'll be so far ahead of the game.

I bought the car brand new and know the ins and out of that car. A lot of sweat and money put into it so it had a lot of sentimental values. I guess the only way is to contact the dealer who sold it

If that was his baby it makes sense to want the same car back. And I agree with the previous post, and contact the dealership, tell them you want to make an offer to the person who purchased it, I dont see why they wouldnt ask, it's not like they would be giving out any information. But if they know you really want the car they might want the same thing they paid or more, chances are more. Might make more sense to start new if they are asking for too much $$$, plus the salesman at the dealership isn't going to do it out of the kindness of his heart so, so thats a little more $$. Good luck man.

On a side not, whats a "2004 IP"?

IP = Ivory Pearl

Write a letter as if you were writing it to the person who now owns it and take it in to the DMV. They will look up who owns in now and mail your letter to them. Make sure you put multiple ways to contact you in there.

Thats what we do here.

Yeah, IP is ivory pearl. You could only get an IP with black interior in 03/04, and even then it was extremely rare. That would be a case where it would be worth searching for a car lf it was something you owned before. Even more-so if it had Brembos and aero package.

He could do that but then he'd have to look at the butt ugly interior of the 03-04's. :eek3:

Literally 90% the same. People who "like the 05+ interior better" are severely overreacting.

I have the same but CB. Took it out yesterday after almost 6 months in storage, fired up right away and runs like a top. About 65,500km on it. I can fully understand why OP wants to find his original car. I also suggest going to the dealer as a starting point, also check a car sales website aggregator to see if it's possibly for sale in another state.

Always nice to see a Caribbean blue, they're fairly rare these days as is Atlantic blue.
