Rocker Arms

Does anyone know if you can put these on,I've hurd of them on bigger engines and smaller blocks but haven't seen anything on a 6cylinder engine.would you have to modify the whole cylinder head in order to fit them? Or can a stock one fit them of so what brand would be the best.

Rockers are used on pushrod driven engines as a means to connect the cam to the valves. The cams on this motor sit directly on top of the valve so there is no need for rocker arms.

For example a Chevy V8 the cam sits in the middle of the engine, the.pushrods go up to the top of the head and the rocker arms pivots to push the valve down.

Newer style "OHC" or in the case of the VQ35DE a "DOHC" motor the intake and exhaust cams are located at the top of the head and roll on a "lifter bucket" that is basically just a cap over the top of the valve.

You should be able to look up some videos on YouTube if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

Yea I see.thanks I'm trying to rebuild my engine and make it as best as I can afford, not have a shitty slow engine with expensive parts.

Don't waste money on upgrading parts that won't need it is the biggest advice I can give. Don't buy 600+hp connecting rods if you're not planning on making the power, if you're planning on staying NA then just go with OEM spec for everything except the head bolts. Even fully build NA with cams and all bolt-ons the stock rods are fine, spend money on things like the rev-up oil pump, the HR head gasket (and block modifications), and things of that nature.

Otherwise you end up with **** like people putting a stage 3 clutch on a motor that's making less than 300whp, it's pointless and an expensive waste of money.

But bro it's got a stage 3 clutch and 800whp connecting rods!
