Tail Lights Won't Turn Off (Not break light switch) Help!

Hey guys,

So just last night I went outside to take out the trash and noticed my tail lights were on. I thought hm that's weird must just be a light system glitch so I turned on the car, pressed the break pedal and flipped the lights switch a few times hoping to resolve the issue, but to no avail.

Next step I took was to get under the wheel and check the fuses. I checked the fuse - 10A Stop Lamp, but pulling it out doesn't make the lights go off nor does replacing the fuse with one of the spares do anything either. The only fuse that makes the lights go out is the 10A - Elec Parts fuse directly next to the Stop Lamp fuse. I also tried switching that fuse out with a spare as well, but it did not change anything, lights still stayed on upon replacing it.

Lastly, I checked the break light switch to ensure the rubber stopper was still in place, it is. When the break pedal is not pressed the switch is fully depressed, which is how I believe its supposed to work. I also tried disconnecting the stop light switch wiring cradle, but the lights STILL stayed on.

As of now, I have the battery disconnected and im not sure what else to try. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT:
Ok I feel like a bit of an idiot, but what a relief! The break light switch is actually break light switch(es). There is a second switch higher up which wasn't as easy to see as the first one and that seems to be the culprit. The pad appears to be missing which is causing the switch to not be depressed. Going to pick one up at autozone for $1, glad this isn't so expensive electrical issue!

This happened to me about a week ago. I go out to my car after it had sat overnight, and there was half of a rubber circle laying in the driver's footwell. I thought nothing of it until I came out of the store I was just in and thought "did I leave my lights on?" Same thing, the brake switch was fine, but the rubber stopper that actually pushes in the switch wore out and broke in half. $5 multi-pack of rubber stoppers at autozone and 30 seconds in the parking lot fixed it.
