Auto to Manual

Ok, I just got an automatic 2005 Infiniti g35 coupe. I couldn't find any manual ones around my area so don't say I'm better off selling and buying a manual one. I did see some manuals but they had 190k miles and up😬 so my plan is to do an automatic to manual transmission swap. I'm doing a lot of research on this. What kind of parts would I need? Average time to do this? Any advice would be great!

There's a sticky, looks like a ton of work that I wouldn't want to do on a car that wasn't perfect otherwise. I'm a manual diehard, but if I were stuck with an auto I would look into installing a transgo shift kit which seems to really bring the "sport" out of the auto.

It makes the auto shift quick! It upgrades the valve body to give you better and quicker (more modern style) shifts. I may get it next year.

I wouldn't look at the swap unless you have a lot of money and time to put into the project. The Transgo makes the car drive completely different in a really fun way plus the kit is under $300 then add in money for the swap unless it's something you can do yourself. It also reduces wear on the transmission by cutting out the sloppy shifting the stock transmission has.

Thank you all for your advice! Going to look into the TransGo kit!
