Coupe Wheel Dimensions
 

I'm unsure of the wheel dimensions on the coupe and I don't understand all the different measurements used. I'm looking for a pair of 18's that look like this one here. If anyone could help explain this to me and maybe even link me to a pair being sold in the US, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Wheel sizing is easy to understand once you know what the measurements mean. Early coupe sport wheels (the 7 spoke design) for example are 18X8 +30 IIRC. 18=wheel diameter, 8+wheel width and the offset, +30 is how far the face of the wheel sits in relation to the fender line. A +20 offset will sit 5 mm farther out towards the fender edge while a +40 will sit 5 mm more sunken in than the stock measurement.

Armed with this knowledge you can now search for the perfect wheel size and style, happy hunting! Thanks for responding. I have found a pair that I like and I'm having a difficult time determining the difference between the seemingly identical three options it provides for the measurements I need. If there is a difference, then I would appreciate help in pointing out what exactly it is. Thanks in advance.

The specs for all 3 are identical. However on a coupe, with a 7.5" width and +42 they are going to be very sunken into the wheel well looking out of place. I'd go with wider wheels and a lower offset. 18X8 +25 would look great and fit well.. Plus you'll get better traction with wider tires.

I hate to keep bothering you, as I'm trying to figure this all out on my own, but I'm kinda lost on what size I really should be getting, as my current wheels look a bit small imo on top of being not too appealing and curbed by the previous owner. They look like 17" but when I went out and measured them just a minute ago, it said they were about 18.5" in diameter. There's no way in hell that those are 18's, because they look smaller than that to me so maybe I'm just dumb and measuring it wrong? I'd like to get your opinion on what size you think they look like, even though I realize you can't really measure them from the picture. I guess use your judgment and tell me if they really look like 18's or that I'm just imagining things. Thanks for everything so far.

No worries, we're here to help. Looks like you have the 03-04 17X7.5" +45 stock wheels. Not sure what you measured but wheel widths are measured from the front edge of the back to the back edge. A wheel with 18X8" +25 specs would be wider, taller and closer to the edge of the fender by a significant margin. Remember too that tire sizes will affect the fitment and look of the complete set up.
