Headlight doesn't work
Hi guys, recently I posted topic about problem I had on my g35;
Well there is another issue now. Passenger headlight doesn't work, so I got a bulb, replaced and boom still doesn't work. I went to purchasing ballast and at some point before I didn't get ballast it start works again and again stop. I still didn't replace ballast because I were waiting for my friend to help me out but I m gonna probably do that by myself bc I wanna save some money. Mechanic asking for 120 only labor (LoL). My question is, what I should test before I did change ballast because it could be maybe wire problem and should I remove bumper to do change or only that plastic under the headlight and then I 'll be able to replace it. Thanks guys, |
Sounds like a ballast problem. U will have to remove the headlight in order to change the ballast.

Swap the ballast and lamp that are working to the side that's not working. Then you can verify it's a wiring/electrical problem

After over 2 months replaced ballast. In order to replaced i remove wheel, then that plastic and it was really hard to reach old ballast. 2 screws were removed easily but 3rd one had to break. Cable on a new ballast was to short so i has to use old cable for bulb.
Headlight is working now but i got check engine light... |
OBD2 scan for codes, probably unrelated to the ballast.

I will try just with reset and see what's gonna happen. |
By chance did you do this work with the battery still connected? If so you should start checking every single fuse starting at the fusible link because something probably blew.

Have you tried deleting the code to see if it comes back?
