Yeah thats the button I was talking about.
The way I would test your issue is by checking the terminals on the motor for voltage when u try to move the window. If its getting 12v but the window is not moving, then u either have a bad motor or your window is misaligned and something is blocking it from going up. |
The calibration button is only for setting the AUTO up/down function. It will still work normally in "manual mode" by moving the switch to the first position.
Are you sure you got the regulator put together correctly? Can you place your hand UNDER the window and help lift it while the motor is engaged? |
i opened everything up again and the window goes down no problem but it only comes up if i pull the window up and hold the switch

Jump the motor wires directly to the battery if u can. See if it goes up like that. |
I wouldn't bother, replace with a new motor, that's a classic sign of motor failure.
i replaced it with a brand new motor same problem was happening until i shift the window slightly now it doesn’t work at all and i get wind noise on the freeway and the door panel rattles a little
Ok something is broken in your regulator. Are you sure you put it all together properly? One corner pivots so it can be disassembled once it's removed.
Check for something like the cable being off a roller or some mechanical failure like that.
everything is still in one piece
Hey, I don't exactly know what's causing this problem, but I know from my 05 the windows didn't work when I bought it it was because the window locks was broken causing the windows to not move at all. The mechanic replaced it and the windows worked fine afterwards. Maybe something to look into.
the motor and regulator work fine when the windows not on the tracks but doesn’t have enough power it seems like to come up maybe i should grease the window tracks?
This is gonna be difficult to diagnose without actually seeing how it moves in person.
But if everything is installed and aligned correctly and the window has a hard time going up, then its probably a bad motor. |
