Oem Vs Aftermarket Parts Spotting??
Hello,
Tomorrow I am going to a local wreckers to grab a driver side compression rod (Radius Rod) . I also considered rock auto. Anyways how can I spot if it's an oem part vs aftermarket. Of course I prefer a good condition oem vs good condition aftermarket part. Thanks guyss! |
I'll he completely honest, I would definitely not install a USED one since it has a short lifespan and a high failure rate.
Unless you are doing the work yourself and willing to risk installing the same part twice and possibly ruining a set of front tires. |
Well. The bushing will be a brand new whiteline. Poly
I'm doing everything myself. So no real labour costs. |
Moog makes very nice quality parts for suspension and steering components. Rock auto sells a moog one. I think you can get it on amazon too for same price with no shipping. I would get a new moog one and put the whiteline bushing in that instead of a used one. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah the ball joints go bad too, my OEM rod BJs didn't last to 100k. Now I'm using mevotech supremes with Whiteline bushings, all is well
