Rear bumper delete

Hey I’m thinking about doing a rear bumper delete or cutting it we’re it curves and getting one of those tube crash bars. Reason: just to show of the exhaust, less drag, and makes the rear end look even meaner if any one knows anything remotely to what I’m talking about HMU. I’m looking for some ideas or input

Think he's referring to the rebar under the cover and foam absorber. If that's the look it's a freebie.

I think he is referring to a bash bar that replaces the

crash bar. Street faction and a couple of other companies make them for our cars, you see them at drift events, where the bumper cover is likely to get torn off or shredded. Those who daily their drift cars usually have poly covers that come off before the event. The only advantage I see is that they have lift points on them so you can quickly change your tires without having to jack a car to reach the pumpkin. I have heard claims they are stronger than the oe crash bar - i have no clue on that last claim...but I assume that isn't op's concern.
I have seen a few fwd street cars that claim [hoonigan]...usually fitted with bash bars and big ole *****, straight pipes, and hella camber...I guess it is fashion.

agreed. I don't really understand 'fashion' in general...especially with these type of sport inspired mods. I am seeing people put angle kits, hydro brakes, cages, etc on zcars that have never been sideways or in a track...and am 100% confused why they spent the loot to go straight when a set of 20% tires and a switch is more than enough to kick the rear and have the 'scene' that you're posing for. I mean, nice parts bro, but you should have just bought a sticker pack.

And now that I have talked too much and been too old/cranky in one place for too long...I will say it's not my car and to each his/her own.

Lol I suppose. But those mounts are only halfway solid. The top is just a place holder into the trunk. It's not solid and IMO just risks bending frame.

If these "reinforcements" bolt on in place of the rebar then they either attach to a little bracket at the end of the frame rails or there's a couple of bolts that go straight down through the trunk floor and attach to brackets bolted or welded to the factory rebar that slide inside the frame. Either way the factory rebar or the cool accessory piece can't take more than about a 5 mph impact or the rails start to bend. The accessory piece will in all likelihood damage the cars structure worse than the original rebar as it has a degree of built-in give to absorb some of the impact.
