My car cranks but there's a clunking sound coming from the transmission
Won't start, seems like something is jammed in the clutch assembly or something, cranks very strangely and almost starts but doesn't, maybe a broken flywheel or something broke in there? Was making a terrible growling sound and could feel strong vibrations in the shifter and clutch pedal before the car just shut off on me while driving, also had it towed just the day before because 4 lug nuts broke off with only one left holding one of my rear wheels on so the guy who came to tow my car suggested to have my car put in reverse to prevent the wheel from spinning as he pulled it up onto the tow bed but the wheels still moved forward a bit anyways while in reverse... could that have damaged my transmission or something?
So he pulled the vehicle up onto the flatbed but left the transmission in gear? Yes you might have broken something, I have no clue why the driver suggested this other than he was new and doesn't know what he's doing.
Get the vehicle up on jackstands, spin the rear wheels by hand, visually inspect for anything damaged by the tow truck driver. If it spins fine in neutral and nothing seems out of the ordinary then it's either in the transmission/clutch/engine. Drain the transmission fluid and inspect for metal shavings/chunks. Get an OBD2 scanner and check for any hidden codes.
So just to verify the order of things:
-You were driving, vehicle felt fine, then wheel studs broke
-Then had vehicle towed on a FLAT BED, none of the wheels were on the ground when towing.
-Then you drove the vehicle again, everything was fine, but then it started "growling" and having a strong vibration in the shifter/clutch and shut off.
-Now the clutch pedal feels stiff like you can't depress it, and cranks slow, won't start.

Right, except i attempted a launch from idle when i fixed the studs and it stalled on me but there was a vehicle behind me so i immediately turned the vehicle back on and launched it and ever since the noise started but it wasn't that bad at first, slowly got worse. Car was driving fine before that, clutch pedal actually feels the same, it doesn't crank slow anymore but makes a strange clunking sound when the vehicle is about to start up
