Wiper fluid doesn't come out
I know for sure that the hose is not connected all the way from the fluid container to the wipers but when I have someone press in the wiper switch I don't hear anything at the container. Is there supposed to be noise at the fluid container with the switch Pressed

Yeah there is a motor/pump in the tank. U should be able to hear it buzzing/humming when its running.
Check the fuse. If its good, use some wire to jump the pump directly to the battery terminals. If the pump doesnt run, then its probably toast. Let us know what happens. |
The windshield washer pump for mine is outside the tank. Under the front right bumper area, in a little molded cranny on the reservoir tank. Take the splash pan out and you will find it. It just pulls out and is held in the tank by friction by a grommet.
Also check the check valve under the battery...sometimes it leaks from there. Those valves are hard to find...they are a check valve to keep pump primed and provide velocity increase for sprayer as well by going from a larger diameter to a smaller diameter "funnel."...Bernoulli Make sure not to pinch the washer line when you move the battery around. That happens too. I am using a Porsche valve now and spray has less velocity. I tried a ton of different check valves with no luck. |
Washer pump is 10 amp, fuse 84 in the IPDM. The pump harness has power supplies to it full time through that fuse and the GROUND is the switched side.
Are you missing any other function on the steering wheel? Anything on the turn signal or wiper arms? A failing spiral cable can cause problems with all those components that run through it. |
Not sure about the motor and fuses, but have you inspected the individual nozzles? they can clog up, so may be something as simple as a pin to open the nozzle again. If it does seem like a motor or something gl
