G35 3.5 Won't start after water pump replaced

OK long story short after messing up the timing replacing the water pump I reset the timing to what appeared to be exactly what I seen in other photos. My photos are attached so you can have a look at what I ended up with. Can you help me out here and Thank you so very much. This is my first post here so please be kind I'm old and stupid. lol

By the way the one and two chains were never removed just the main chain and the crank was turned different direction monkeying with things so just say you need to start from scratch.

Ok in doing some more research I seen a post from a infiniti expert that it takes somewhere around 45 cranks of the engine to be back in sink. What I'm saying here is the right bank the different colored link is off but the marks are on can this mean that bank is out of time and needs to be turned till that link is where it should be? This side was turned a few times for whatever reason do I need to turn that back?

https://www.justanswer.com/nissan-in...placement.html This is a link regarding the revolutions it takes to get the motor back in timing. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what he is saying here.

The information on the timing chain starts on page 55 of the attached service manual link. I hope it helps solve your issue. If your G35 is a different year, just follow the second link below and go to the proper year.

Doesn't seem like anyone comes to this forum. Just saying.

Hello, I recently did this job and thought I might add my 2 cents. As far as timing goes from the photos it ‘LOOKS’ to be in time. It seems like all lines, dots, and paint marks are indeed lined up. This would be a good time to do the gallery gaskets now.

Thank you very much for the confirmation I really appreciate it.

Well nothing. Not even a hint of it wanting to start. Granted my battery is dead and I'm using a battery booster that gives you maybe 3 seconds of boost but I got no pop pr anything. Only thing I haven't reinstalled is the radiator fans. I really don't want to tear this down again. It did run fine when I pulled it into the garage. Only thing that was going to be done was the water pump.

Looking at the repair manual it looks like the marks in the repairs manual are lined up the two dots both right and left where I have the two dots left and the elongated dots on the right. Em I 180 out on the right?

I am not an engine expert..
I only have done the timing belt on my audi so far.

But there should be something to note on which cylinder is top dead before you do the chain....??

I think you might be correct that you are out 180...
I am sure you have looked at all the stuff on youtube, but wth..

That guy actually made it more confusing. He calls the elongated punch marks dashes. The illustration i posted just calls the elongated punch marks punch marks, from what I gathered by watching almost every video out there the double dots are on the left and the double elongatedare on the right. Unless things have changed #1 cylinder has to be at top dead center then marks all set and thats what I did. I did manually turn the motor over 5 or 6 times where the red link came all the way back to top dead on the crank and the marks on #1 and #2 camshaft banks never did return to the way I set them, double dots left and double elongated marks right with the yellow links on there punch marks. It did not jump any teeth in doing so.
