tcu reflash for 05's

i was wondering if anyone has had their 05's reflashed yet, cause i heard that the ECU's were different from the previous years. I was looking at the limited spec reflash which; revs up to 7100prm, 100% throttle opening and removes the speed governor for $350.

Does this reflash do anything for throttle response? The 05 mustang GT I traded in was also drive by wire and doing an after market flash made the throttle feel like a cable. I'm convinced that 90% of the freaky clutch engagement is due to the lag in the throttle control. If the flash can fix that, it's well worth the dough.

the vq ultilizes a drive by wire system, which opens up 80% of the throttle during full throttle near redlline. The reflash opens it up 100% all the way up to 7100. I'm going to do this preyty soon, you guys are welcome to come and see it reflashed and i'll take you for a drive. I think that this is very effective for AT owners who drive in MM mode, especially during downshifts on the freeway.

please let me know as well...Peet has a GREAT point with the GT I have read this time and time again!!

thanks!!

I searched, but didn't find. The '05's still have the limitation of not having full throttle near redline? Why did Infiniti implement that, as a way to preserve their engines?

nobody has reflashed their 05 yet>

I thought perhaps it was known how it comes flashed from the factory.

'05 reflash available for 6MT's only, as per Technosquare.

no chips for the g. you have to flash the ecu.

manh3 May 27, 2005 03:33 AM

i'll call technosquare tomarrow, maybe a group discount in the near future.

mistermojorizin May 27, 2005 03:47 AM

Where can you reflash it for 350? Does this add any measurable horsepower?

manh3 May 27, 2005 03:46 PM

i called techno square and they said that they don't have the reflash yet beacuse they need a test car. Any volunteers?
