What's the value of a '03 6mt coupe w/ 13,900 miles?

I'm curious if anyone knows? Seems these things are really holding their value well. Dealers/CarMax, etc. are asking over 30K for '03s with 20K miles. Mine doesn't even have 14K.

No mods. Silver/Black. Mint condition. I've looked at all the "online" resources for numbers. Curious if there is any real-world experience.

Anyone?

6mt/brembo Jun 13, 2005 11:35 AM

I would think maybe 29-30k because you are still going to find a buyer that wants the brembos no matter what and with that kind of mileage it's still close to new

could check kbb.com prices or current ebay pricing

use www.kbb.com and cross-reference it with www.nadaguides.com to get a really good idea of the used values (retail and trade-in).

Are kbb and nadaguides and even edmunds good sources??? More and more it seems dealers are using auction pricing as the going rate, and that is dramatically less than anything that can be found online.

Price

Bought my 04' 6MT, with Navi and SAT and all other options with 7500 miles for $30,000 at the end of April in NJ. I guess they made good money on my 01 maxima trade, that was worth 13 but they didn't want to go over 9,750.

there's also www.edmunds.com True Market Value (TMV). Tell us what you are getting from those guides. 03 for over $30k? That seems pretty high. Also, you don't even mention the options/packages on the car. How are we supposed to answer your question?

It depends on where in the country you live also......

Real world in the SE....I'd say around $26 - $26.5K

Whatever you do, don't go by Ebay prices. Take a look at how many of the G35 listings on Ebay sell. It's been very close to one per month but recently it has picked up a bit and is now more in the five/month rate. Most of these tend to be coups with a salvaged title selling for 20K or coupes selling for around 27K

Kbb lists a 6mt with 14K miles in good condition for 28K. How much you need to sell the car will determine what you ask for it though.

You can pretty much bet on the fact that most dealers will give you about $2000 less than the trade-in prices listed on KBB and NADA.

Too many new cars arriving back from 1, 2 & 3 year leases, which all have warranties and usually low miles.
