I was going for the G35 but now I'm leaning Audi TT, Am I nuts? Help!
A week ago if I had to chose a car I would have ran, not walked to my nearest Infiniti dealer. In the past week though I started thinking seriously about the TT coupe, 3.2 Liter, 250hp DSG shifter.
Am I nuts? I like the look of both cars, in different ways, but I also like the fact the TT has AWD and is probably safer in bad driving conditions, which I face somewhat in Westchester, NY. |

i know a lot of femmes that love the Gcoupe and the TT. if you just want to boink 1 girl at a time then get the TT. if you want boink more than 1, get the Gcoupe!!

get the Audi, theres too many g35's around nowadays...

He said boink....LOL :p
Man, it's up to you. It's all about taste. Even though the TT is quicker, I personally prefer the looks of the G MUCH more, but...that's just me. -Andy |

As a former owner of a TT roadster, I have to say you'll be happy with either car, especially if you buy a used TT. Man do those cars depreciate quickly. If you don't have need for a useable back seat, I think you'll enjoy the TT. Most guys mod the hell out of the turbo TTs. For $500 you can have the ECU for the 225HP TT reprogramed to produce around 265HP.
Bottom line if you need a new car, I wouldn't buy a TT because the G35 holds its value far better. On the other hand if you don't mind buying a used car and don't need a useable back seat, the TT coupe is a good choice. |
why not wait a year or two when the new TT with that new front grill is out? or unless you like the current design.

Thanks for all the replies. To answer all the questions, I don't want a sedan, that's why no G35X, and I am married, so the appeal of these cars to the opposite gender holds no sway with me :) Lastly, I am not sure what you mean by a usable back seat. Could I at least use the back seat in the TT for short rides around town for a 3rd passenger? Like going to the movies, etc? I have no plans to take long trips with more than 2 people, but half hour trips I'd like to be able to achieve.

Buy the Audi!! The less G's out there, the better I look. :)
|
Audi's consistently score low in reliability from Consumer Reports, but get one anywase. Less G's that way.
|
My boss has a TT. It makes as many clinking and rattling noises as a glass jar full of loose bolts.
|
go with the G
