Nobody wanted to pay $2k for the navi when they bought their G right? But later on you thought to yourself, "Damn I shoulda got it". Well I ran across this site that sells a kits that fits a 7" lcd monitor w/touch or no touchscreen option. Their website is http://www.digitalwheelz.com. I think it's a pretty nice setup even tho you have to manually pull up the screen.

Here's a link to their pics. http://www.digitalwheelz.com/G35Scre...g_Pictures.htm

Has anybody tried this product yet?

Yeah, it's kinda neat. Several people here have installed it.

does that system allow you to play dvds with no extra modification?

c'mon...spending that kind of money and they couldn't put a small motor in it so that you wouldn't have to manually pull it out and put it away?!?

^^^^ woah bro chill out man. god_of_cpu is the one that has created this product and is on the boards and know him personally. I can assure you he's spent hundreds of hours researching the product. You can't fit a motor back there, there's just not enough room. Trust me, we've all asked him the same question. With that said, maybe you want to see the thread I created this morning. I paid about half the price of stock NAV (although I did have some parts laying around too) and I can do mp3's/gps/nav/wifi/dvd/reverse camera and lots of other stuff with my touchscreen.

Check out the video in my post to see it in action:

Hey Pratik97, did you fabricate the lcd housing and the mechanism needed to put it back in the console? How hard was it to take the dash and everything out?

Doesn't anybody know where I can buy the actual factory lcd screen w/o navi?

player Aug 3, 2005 06:37 PM

i dont regret not getting the stock navi, its $2k and not even touch screen

Amp Aug 4, 2005 02:32 PM

LuXXXz Aug 4, 2005 05:48 PM

What is the total cost for the entire system and installation? Who does the install?
