High Flow Intake vs. Cold Air Intake

High Flow Intake vs. Cold Air Intake
If anyone can elaborate on the subject that would be fantastic. I know the basics but is it a situation where it's one or the other or can you use both? If you can only use one, is one better than the other. Specifically I was looking at the parts from Grubbs Infiniti and it got me thinking - except I don't know the answer. Any takers ----

Re: High Flow Intake vs. Cold Air Intake
cold air intake is just the opposite in the summer time. Its just the open filter & long pipe. It sucks up all the heat when the engine & road are hot & can actually make your car slower. I bought the intake box from Stillen.com which gives you a K&N filter and upgrades the casing its in. 5more horses and more sound from the exhaust. I'll have pictures in another month when my car is all hooked up.

I also put in the Stillen Hi flo box. You can find pictures of it on the site somewhere. I think it looks awesome, the first thing you see when you pop the hood is the shiney cone K&N filter. It also makes an intake whistle when you get on it. In my opinion, I think it looks closer to stock, it looks like a stock intake box only oit says Stillen on the top. and you dont ever have to worry about water getting in your engine like in a CAI. I have only had it on for about 200 miles so far so I won't comment on HP's or fuel eceonomy, yet...
