Dyno'd my 06 Coupe

Well I dyno'd my car this week and I must say I was pretty happy with the numbers. I believe Doug at Crawford said we should see about 17% difference in numbers from flywheel to rwhp numbers and that what I got. I did 4 pulls and there was only 4hp difference between them all. All pulls were done in 5th gear (closest to 1:1) to 7000 rpm. I want to try to dyno my car after every mod, well that's the plan at least. The car was dyno'd with a Ztube and a K&N panel filter and here are my numbers:

Next is Crawford's Plenum then his cats. We'll see what that brings. Let me know what you think.

Nice numbers.

good numbers......some plenum and cats should help a little also

MechEE Mar 2, 2006 03:57 PM

That's about 210-215 real horsepower at the wheels on the street. :D Just dyno'd my '06 on a Mustang / Dynojet / Road Dyno as well.

Great #'s....Post up with the new mods.

Indeed. At least that's what my stock car puts down on the street, and puts down on a mustang. And I put 240+ whp down on the inflated dynojet.

Do you have a dog MechEE???? Do you troll??? Why do you feel the need to **** (insert your favorite word here) on everyones threads??? I use to think of you as an intelligent person but now I think you're ARROGANT. Am I wrong??? I guess I'll find out with your reply. So if I have inflated #'s and everyone else goes by the same way of checking............ then we all run inflated #'s. Right??? What was your point in this thread??? That you're smarter then us???? Maybe in some sense but not in People skills by far!!! I will be eagerly awaiting your response.

Your new Buddy:rolleyes:

Mustang Dynos have always READ LOW. And DynaPaks always read high. Dynojets are the ones that read usually the normal readings for the street.

Rebelin, don't waste your money on the Crawford Plenum, they dont do much for 05+. Go with MREV, its proven to be one of the best bangs for the buck. Read up on it....

Woah, looks like I hit some touchy subject with someone. I was simply sharing some facts. I have a 2006, I dyno'd similar numbers on a dynojet, and have since compared it with a Mustang and a road dyno. And by dynojet numbers your numbers are good (though they were done in 5th gear so they'll be a bit higher than in 4th), and thus one would expect them to be correspondingly good on a Mustang or on the street as well. I don't see any posts of mine suggesting I'm smarter than anybody or sh!tting on your thread. If all you wanted to hear was "yo dawg, nice numbers!" then why did you bother to post? Why do people always get so pissed off at the truth? Who knows.

LOL . . . MechEE, I just noticed the heading under your name. I like it. :D ;)

ttrank Mar 2, 2006 09:29 PM

I have to agree with MechEE, people need to learn the difference between dyno's so they don't go bashing other people's numbers when they post them from a Mustang or DynoDynamics dyno. This just happened on one of my other threads and people immediately start bashing me for making low numbers with a Stillen S/C because they don't understand the differences...

Don't get me wrong, those are good numbers above. Keep up the good work. Getting a dyno after each mod is a great idea and helps the rest of us when making the decision of what to buy. :)

So I may hit 270hp with my mods:

06 6MT, R/T CATs,Crank pulley, G200 exhaust, MREV+, UTEC, Popcharger, included grounding kits hehe

Strtsk8r321 Mar 2, 2006 09:58 PM

How much of an improvement is that at the crank? Thats the only thing I understand.
