MahdiG35 Apr 7, 2006 03:36 PM

how do i take it off, with out the rotor spininng?? when i put force on it it truns.

madchef Apr 7, 2006 03:37 PM

That bolt is to prevent you from putting the wheels in the wrong location (for instance, putting the rear wheels on the front)

Just make sure the tire reads correctly:
Front:225/40-19
Rear: 245/40-19

you have to hold it down i guess. my tire shop took it off for me.

Oh, if you are putting aftermaket wheels on, then just remove the bolt (grab the rotor with your hand to hold her steady)

Have someone push on the brake. That will keep the rotor from turning.
:D
hummm deee dummmm waiting for my new wheels......:D

That bolt is on there so we don't have idiots putting rear OEM tires on the fronts...

It might be on a lil tight and need a lil force to get it off... Spray some WD40?? :D

Take that bolt off and you're good...

or if you are by yourself put a screw driver in the vents of the brake rotor so that it wedges against the caliper.

thanks guys. I just holded the rotor and turned it and it unscrewd pretty easily. now I am at nissan and they are trying to put on the tps on there and they say that tps might sit in a bad angle and if I hit a bump then it can crack. they have not took the wheels off the car yet, so they r not sure. has anybody expreinced this problem, were the tps breaks in a aftermarket wheel because it's sittin in a bad angle??? I got 245/35/20 and 285/30/20,

Thanks

Mahdi

They mounted rubber valve stems on your new wheels?

MahdiG35 Apr 7, 2006 07:46 PM

They could not do it, because they were afarid that they were going to scartch my wheels. So I am going try to find a good shop that can do it.

Again thanks a lot for everybody's help!
