passenger side seatbelt at people's necks?
 

So first thing my gf comments about ( aside from the good comments of course) is that when she sits in the passenger seat the seatbelt rubs on her neck... and of course shes shorter so it makes sense. I dont have the problem but want to know what options i have.. dont really want a generic seatbelt pad..would be nice if there were atleast an infinitiy one? ..maybe nismo alteast... dunno...thoughts?

i have the same problem with the driver's side...i'm about 6 foot tall, can't really raise the seats because my head will touch the ceiling. oh well...just something i'll have to live with, at least until my lease is up. ;)

yeah i get the same complaints on my 06 from the passenger side.

i have an 04 and i feel like the driver side belt will slice me in the jugular if i get in an accident : ( i have a nismo belt pad for now. i was hoping to maybe get an 06 seat with that bracket on the shoulder.

The 06 seatbelt sits right at my neck as well. I feel uncomfortable with it as well. (i run it through the seat bracket because it keeps it still. Otherwise it moves too much for comfort as well not in the bracket). My friend's 04 looks to have the seat belt bracket on the seat in the same spot as well, so i can't imagine it being too different from yours? (though I haven't done a side by side comparison of where the seat belt rests)

Does anyone know if you can adjust the height of the seat belt mounting point (where it sits on the B-pillar)?

I have a different comfort problem with the seatbelt. It feels too tight over my shoulder. I've solved this problem with a simple clothespin that I place next to the pillar. It just takes some of the slack. It's painted black so it doesn't draw much attention. A rubberband over the pincher helps it grip.

For the other problem of cutting across the neck, I believe a Seatbelt
Adjuster should solve the problem. I bought one at Walmart ($4) thinking it would help my problem but it didn't. It does move the waist attachment point more toward the middle of your body so when it goes up toward the pillar it doesn't cut across your neck.

Yeah... the seatbelt bothers me a lot on long drives. Haven't heard any complaints from passengers, though. Probably they didn't say anything although it bothered them a bit.

i fixed this neck rubbing seatbelt issue by using an elastic/rubber 6" 'tie downs' i got from wal-mart. you can find this in the auto section and usually in a round plastic jar with other sizes/lengths. i let the one end hold down the seat belt part that's attached to the right side of the driver's seat while i put the other end of the 'tie-down' on the bottom front seat. what it does is position the seatbelt forward and won't touch your neck anymore. try this manually by pushing forward the seat belt part that's attached to the right side of the driver's seat and you'll see what i mean. it will surely work as it did on mine. i have an 05 by the way. good luck

Freaking amazing!! Infiniti can't come up with a better solution after 3 years of production run of the car, what makes them think we will buy another one. This is not just a comfort issue, it can be hazardous to the drivers as well.

The biggest pet peeve I have with this car is the damn seat belt!!!

I imagine a better way is to install the seatbelt bracket that comes on the coupe on the side of the seat, not on the top side. So that the seat belt will go across your shoulder rather than downward across your collarbone/neck. Too bad it doesnt look easy to just relocate the seat belt guide bracket
