Calling all "X's" with a lowered suspension!

I have decided to make a thread dedicated to "X's" that are lowered since many people are having the same questions as to which lowering springs they could use on their "X", the ride quality after lowering, etc.

Please post pics of your ride. If possible before and after.

Please include in your post:
1- Type of lowering springs you have.
2- How much the springs have lowered your sedan.
3- The ride quality.
4- Any problems that you are having.
5- How many miles you have on the springs.
6- How your shocks/struts are holding up.
7- Wheel size/offset/tire size

Ok. I have gotten a few PM's where members feel that they should be able to discuss things in this thread. So since most people feel like this, this thread is now open for discussion.

1) 2004 350z unrevised springs
2) Not sure, but seems at least 1.5 inches or +
3) A little more stiff and bouncy but nothing I can't tolerate
4) After wheel alignment, toe has been corrected but camber is off (-2.6 and -2.9). Wheels are tilt in a little in the rear now.
5) Maybe 200 miles
6) So far it's ok, just need to watch for potholes, bumps, etc.
7) 18 inch sports, 45 offset, 245/45/18 on Avons

Yah maybe include more info on type of tires and sizes? what you would do different?

i cant decide between 245/40 & 245/35 for my 19s. lot more choices if i go 245/35 but thought ride be to rough w/ 350z springs.

245/40/19 rubber is way better, more meat on there looks better imo, i was thinking if i get 19's i would do 255/35/19, but i like the amount of rubber on the 245/40 tire, thats my opinion, good luck g-mony

Yeah I got 245/40/19s and I love them. Just enough meat so that if you hit a pot hole it wont do damage to the wheel.

Lowered my X

1 - Springs from '06 350Z
2 - 1.25 in the front, 1.75 in the rear
3 - I feel just a little more feedback, but still very close to original. It does not have any harshness or bottoming.
4 - I would of liked a more even drop.
5 - I've put just 200 or so on them. I'll update my comments if necessary.
6 - So far so good.
7 - 235/45/18 - offset 42mm

Looks GOOD!! How do you like the Kumho's? I'm thinking of getting General Exclaim UHP's in 245/45/18 for my next tire. I have Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 now that I bought used. They will need replacement in the next few weeks. I've heard good things about the Kumho's and Avon's but haven't heard about the Generals. Theey are highly rated on Tirerack.

The Kumho's are just 1K old. So, it's to early to pass judgement. They have responded very well when pushed dry and even maintained good traction when pushed a little in the rain. In addition, they aren't noisy.

I decided on the Kumho's because of good reviews and a perfect size match. I didn't want to take chances with the AWD system having different size tires and the whole speedometer thing. Tirerack has the best price.

I'm really looking for a summer tire since I will be putting on the factory 17's for the winter. But I will investigate those Avons before I buy. Thanks for the review.
