I am thinking of lowering my 2004 G35x with Tein H-tech springs for RWD sedan. I choose the Tein H-tech over the H&R springs simply because I don't want to lower the vehicle too much since the primary driver is my dad.

What do you guys think about the Sedan Tein H-tech springs on the G35x?

flyinglumpia, whats yr set up in the pictures? those z springs

FlyingLumpia Aug 4, 2008 12:31 AM

I have an 04, I am running custom vrt coilovers in the front and z springs in the rear. I have taken out the z spring and put 350z h-tech in the rear. Here are some pics.

The ride comfort is ok, hit a bump and bam.

Plus, you are on sportline, they are pretty low. My rears are on z htech, also I think since your bottom are painted it looks lower. But I think I am going to have to lower it more take a pic then raise it back up because there will be no way I could drive like that.

I wish I could lower my car...but my exhaust drags as is. I just installed a stillen gen2 with some kartboy urethane bushings and it still drags going in my garage (Pretty steep drive) but not as bad. I can eliminate it on an angle. It is right at the bend in the Y pipe where it hits. and the right side sits a little lower than the left. SO maybe I just have to get a new house.....Any other suggestions???

Only other thing I can think is possibly motor mounts because it is the front that is low.

Flyinglumpia, +20 Offset Up Front On A 19x8.5, Will That Clear

FlyingLumpia Aug 6, 2008 01:51 AM

I am thinking if you run a 225/40/19 on for tire size and some neg camber. Talk to Gdup he is the aggressive offset guru.

BTW I raised it back up, it was terrible driving like that with the roads here. Sorry guys. Maybe once I get some nice coilovers I will just slam it just for pictures, but never to drive on. Plus with 20's not the most comfy ride.

infg35x Aug 6, 2008 06:23 AM

Any word from those coilover makers this week? Has anyone thought about taking a set of factory struts and aftermarket coilovers to a machine shop and getting their opinion? Maybe if we can get some drawings made up to send to these manufacturers they could produce something quicker.

Nothing from my guy, he is actually pissing me off and not returning my calls.
