Calling all G's with 350z front springs and G coupe rear springs
Hi all,
I recently dropped my X with 350z unrevised springs but due to the 1.5 drop in the rear, it's out of camber spec. I want to look for rear G coupe springs to bring it back up .5 of an inch to get the alignment back closer to spec. The front is fine. That plus, the dropped is not even (lower in the rear) and with my 45 profile tires, it's very close to hitting the rear fender. I perfer a little more fender gap in the rear so I don't have to worry when my car is loaded up with people. Mind posting your pictures? I know quite a few people here with 350z springs in front and G coupe springs in rear. Thanks...:D http://i6.tinypic.com/14t0x3q.jpg http://i5.tinypic.com/14t0xav.jpg |
Cant you just purchase a camber kit for the rear?

Heres mine with 03 z springs in the front and 03 g coupe springs in the rear. Theres about a loose 2 finger gap in the front and tight 2 finger gap in the rear. I have 18 inch wheels with a 45 profile tire.

Did you end up purchasing both sets of springs? |

Just curious, were you alignment specs close to factory for your z/g spring setup?
|
i was able to get back to alignment easily. . .just fyi, my tires are 245/35 R19. So, they are a little smaller in diameter than the stock, which may be reason why they were a little easier to get back into spec. but from what i hear, it shouldn't be a problem, particularly if you have teh sports suspension like i do.

only solution i see is trading it in for a 6MT. . than u can get the MREV and be on ur merry way :)

I think your SOL because the Coupe springs drop the rear just as much as 350Z springs do. I've tried it. The reason the drop looks uneven is because the rear wheel wells are smaller because those wheels don't turn.
Here's my 350Z/coupe spring drop. As you can see, the rear gap is a bit tighter than the front. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...5_152_full.jpg |
