72K on mine, no problems just mods, had to replace the two main belts recently but that's not serious just annoying. Also had to replace one of the a$$ warmer switches but i hear that isn't highly unusual.

Still love the car, rattles don't seem to be any worse than any other car I have ever had with this kind of mileage.

I plan on keeping it until about 97K miles which will probably take me another year and a half at my current rate.

I'm thinking it might be my battery, I've been meaning to get an Optima for quite some time so I already put an order in. I hope that does the trick.

Stupid Infiniti charges $127 just to look at the damn thing.
I don't see why on earth the battery would give you "partial" power that doesen't make sense. It either is working or it isn't. I'm not saying the problem isn't electrical but i doubt it's the battery. Upgrading to an optima never hurt anything though either way. Take it to a car audio shop they will check it out for free most likely.

My last 3 Volvos (89, 89, 92: 240 sedan, Black) all got >400,000 miles apiece and I've seen several with >500,000 miles! Ever wonder why those engines go this far while we obsessively sweat out every detail of our G's, add, remove, modify, insist on synthetics, etc., etc?

Wow, that's insane! Did you put all those miles on those cars yourself? How old are you, if you don't mine me asking....?

I bought the Volvos used with between 150-250K and drove another 150-200k myself for each. I then turned around and sold them for about $1K-1.5K and still see them running 3-5 years later. I put in about 30K per year.

The solution-- well built engines, which the VQ is if it comes off of the right assembly line (there were 2 lines IMO, one with rattles, bad parts, bad brakes, bad audio, etc. & the other with minimal to no issues).

My age-- 51!

i have a question: why are so many people posting how LOW their mileage is when the title of this thread is "Highest mileage G35 on here?"

do people not read the thread titles before they post replies?
