Wow!!!

Guys, I've been away from this thread for a while and I'm astonished what it's come down to....

All I can give you is my real world opinion from ownership. I've owned 4 VQ's including the G, so I think I've given Nissan/Infiniti a very good look. Like it or not, the 07 Camry has been a complete refreshing change. No problems, no squeaks, no rattles. All I can say is it has been comparible in quality, both fit and finish wise, as well as mechanically, to the best Lexus's I have been in, which have been many.

As far as the tranny goes, it is the smoothest, best auto I have ever owned. I'm a huge fan of the auto tranny that my SRT8 came with (formerly used in AMG apps), but that car is in whole different performance league than the G and the Camry and can't really be compared.

Have I owned the Camry long enough to draw conclusions? Of course not. Have I had less problems and less squeaks and rattles than the G? Yes. Is the stereo and voice nav worlds above the G? Yes. Is the interior much better quality? Yes. Was is a lot less money than the G? Yes. And yes, I'd run any stock auto G at a light

Sorry to see people got so bent out of shape.

 

One last thing. The info posted above about 1 injury/death caused by transmission......Do you have any idea how good 1 is out of millions? The Camry has been the best selling car in America 8 years straight!! One????? One injury out of millions could easily be some moron that didn't know how to handle their car...Gimme a break.

I don't have the energy, but I wonder what Infiniti/Nissans records would show with problems from the same databases?

The car has transmission problems. It is all over the freakin NET. Till you understand that, no one will listen to you dude.
