LMAO!

One-wheel-peel! That's classic.

But you are right, a VLSD is a requirement for any type of boost.

I have the VLSD in the coupe, which is getting a Vortech installed right now, but the sedan is 5AT and has no VLSD. So I would be a one wheel peel for sure.

Not to get too far off topic but why do you have a coupe and sedan? Just because you can?

My wife and I share them. We each needed (wanted ) a different car. I sold my Tundra and got the coupe first and 3 months later when she got ready to change cars, she sold her Accord we got the sedan. They each serve different purposes for us. But it's nice to have the sedan, which is our "hauler" since not as much stuff fits in the coupe.

It's nice that so many of the parts are interchangable and so many systems work the same. So I just visit a few G and Z sites to get all the info I need.

Hey Mark!!

No, it's still my block for now (non-built). But the plan is to build that one later when I get some debt paid off.

So far my clutch is good but I am ~200whp under where you are.

Thanks for helping Tony and Kevin gain some experience with the Greddy kit before my car!

Also from what a few members have seen, if you go back to your standard plenum and a spacer, you will gain some hp over the SSV.

Got them prepped last night and painted the plenum and TB semi-gloss black today while my daughter took a nap. Going to put it back together when she goes to bed. I'll post pics tomorrow. And yes, I used high temp engine paint.

Did you use high temp engine paint? Should look cool, I'm a kind interested in the intake pipe wrapping.

Do you have access to cipher? It has an intake temp reading, I'm wondering how effective the wrap is, and if you need it. It is kinda ugly, I know it's more functional but I think that's kinda no no for car showing. Unless you had a lot more function over form type things.

I guess you have to see it in person. I like the look of the heat wrap next to the CF engine cover. It makes the wrap look like bare CF. I'm not sure if it helps or not but the intake tube is very hot every time I open the hood. It may be from the plenum pushing heat into it or it may be from heat under the hood. One way the wrap would help and one way the wrap would hurt.

Tim,

What did you do about the front bumper support? Did you remove it, or were you able to modify it to fit the intercooler?

I took it off. Kevin at UMS is going to make me a new one to fit around the IC.

I think Tony could handle it without the experience! He's pretty good! I'm sure he was able to perform the work a lot faster though the second time around. So far no issues with mine except the clutch, which we knew would be on the edge. It starts right up, idles fine and runs like a champ!

I have a photo shoot coming up, so maybe after that I will swap plenums and see get it on the dyno. Might be a fun test although I am happy w the current HP/TQ.

Congrats again Tim! Looks hot!

Thanks again Mark. You are partly to blame for this change.

I can't wait to see the new pics, make sure and send me a link when you post them. Your car is incredible!

Painted the plenum semi-gloss black.

The pics are not the best. The contrast difference is not as high as it looks in the pics. The plenum is not that shiny and matches a lot better than it seems.

The last pic is the aluminum greddy emblem I got to go on the engine cover.
