I took my time with the in-tank fittings. It is a tight squeeze on the location....I had to dremel and snap out some plastic to give myself a nice flat mating surface. also, I didn't have alot of room to tighten down the bulhead fitting.
also, make sure you only have about half a tank of fuel. If you have a full tank, fuel will pour out everywhere when you open up the tank....the top of the tank is actual above the location of the pump housing access port.....

Just be careful with the float arm and its pivot point. There have been instances of those getting ruined if not removed carefully, which will cause the fuel gauge to be extremely inaccurate. You may think you have a quarter tank and run out of fuel.

Thanks for the warning. I had it out for my pump install a while back and you are right, that thing is touchy.
