I bought a Lemon 03 G sedan
 

I bought a certified pre-owned 03 G35 sedan in september of last year. Since then i have had 6 visits to the dealer about my Transmission / Clutch problems.

I knew from day 1 that the transmission was bad, but they insisted it was not, they ended up replacing the clutch but later on in december 2006 my trans goes out on the highway. They are now replacing the trans and a whole new clutch assembly, but i dont feel comfortable with the ride anymore. Does the lemon law apply to this?

What are my options at this point? I would like to be compensated at this point but just dont know what to do? anyone gone through the same thing? help a member out.

I've had similar problems with my last Nissan. You basically just deal with it, you can cry and bitch all you want but it won't get you anywhere. The car should be good for at least a 100,000 miles now. This won't really compromise the cars reliability as long as the work is done properly.

I contacted a lemon law company that specializes in these matters, and per him he states that i have rights and possibly be able to get all the money i have placed for the car, some compensation and possibly a new car! can this be true?

It is true, but you have to have the problem at least 3(guessing again) times within a certain amount of miles and it is usually within the first 20k I believe...been awhile since I dealt with or tried getting a lemon law enacted. But you say the car is a 2003, it possibly has 30k-60k on it and is beyond the lemon from my prior knowledge.

William McGee from SD got me a new Touareg when mine had issues with stalling that they couldn't fix...Call him, he'll review all your records and if he takes your case he will get you a new car. Get them to waive the mileage offset fee.

This is not a problem they can't fix. It's not the same.

I also don't think it applies to used cars. Only new.

You knew from day one, but you still bought the car?

when i said i knew from day one, i meant that from the day i drove off with the car! not before. The dealer had it micky moused to work for a short period of time before it failed.

I have only had the car since september and i have only put on like 2k miles on it. The problems persisted with in the same month i bought the car. After replacing the clutch the first time they said it will have a "break in period" of 2k miles before the clutch settles in. Agter about the first 100 miles the car was giving out.

William McGee huh? is it ok if i could refrence you? Is he expensive? does he charge up front or after the case settles? PM when you can.

After submitting a history repair report to the lemon law guy he stated i definatly have a case. But maybe not be able to replace the car! I am aiming for a new G but i think it might be too much.

As far as I know, the comments above are right on. Lemon laws vary by state, but most states require that the recurring problem happen within a certain number of miles since new and therefore probably wouldn't apply in this case.

I would bite the bullet and have it fixed right and chaulk it up to experience...

I think you might be SOL if the dealer can fix it, the you don't have a chance and doesn't the lemone law apply to new cars? If it's for used I know a lot of GM cars that could qualify

Well after talking to this lawyer, he stated i have a 99.7 win probability. Pay my car off and get one of my choice with some compensation! Too good to be true, i will keep you all posted on the status.

Ask him if he is taking the case on contiengency or are his fess out of your pocket up front?

I have been talking with the lemonlaw.com people, apperantly the expenses are going to be paid by the dealer. No cost to me they charge the dealer for the matter!! It sounds real good, i think maybe in a week or so i am going to drive to san diego where they are located to meet up with them and get it in writing.
