Is it me or it is standard on G's

I don't know if it's me or not but it seems that my G is going to die out on me. It's very hard to explain. When at stand still, it feels as if it taking big breaths. When I sit in the car it feels as if it's loosing power and then gaining it all within a couple of seconds. When it does feel like it loose power it car kinds of shake. Almost like someone not knowing how to drive a stick shift right. You know when you don't give it enough gas and the car starts to shake. What could it possible be? Or is it just me.

sounds like you might have a fuel injector problem?

Would I have to take it to the dealer for that or would I have to change out to new fuel injectors. Would those fuel injector they sell out Pepboy or Autozone work?

That does sound good only thing is my car is a 03 and the warranty is out on it already.

If it's shaking you could have pistons misfiring. That could be caused by a whole bunch of different things. Fouled spark plug, clogged injector, etc. How many miles do you have on it?

ttrank Feb 13, 2007 02:36 PM

Sounds like a misfire to me. As the guys above said, it could be bad or old plugs, clogged injectors, bad gas, dirty air filter, dirty throttle body, etc...

With clogged injector do you have to take it to a specialist to clean it or can you just use stuff they sell at like Autozone.

If it is fuel injection problem, would this be under powertrain warranty? The bumper to bumper is 4/60k but powertrain is 6/70k. Am I correct?

The best stuff I have found is BG K44. There is a parts store near me that sells it but you may have to look around a little. What I have found is many shops use it as their "fuel clean" treatment for 2-3x the price.

Also sounds like a vacuum leak. Doubt he would get that if he didn't mod though.

I had the same problem with a ford and it turned out to be the throttle position sensor.

DUDE did you get the fuel hose recall done? If not 10 to 1 that is the culprit.

When did they have the fuel hose recal? I'll probably get the dealer to check my car the next time I have my oil changed.
