advice on wheel size selection 19's or 20's?

I've been bumping around on the boards here trying to decide if I should get 19's or 20's. I would have no problem getting 20's but my concern is that the rears would rub when I have passengers in the car. Which is one of the main reason why I got a sedan. One other bit of information that might help you help me is that I would be lowering the car with Eibach springs. Thank You for any help that you can provide.

either wheel will rub if you don't get the right offsets. plenty of people have 20's without any problems and others roll on 19's and rub all the time. figure out what wheel you like, get the specs and tire info and we'll give you a better answer as to what fits or doesn't.

...the biggest and widest you can go on the rear is 20x10 inches wide with a +40 offset. that is with fenders rolled, without them rolled you'd prolly need a +45. keep that in mind and youll be fine :)

I just found out that the wheels that I want in 20's come in a +45 offset in 20x10. I dont have a problem rolling the fender. My question is after rolling the fenders will the wheels still rub when I have passengers in the rear?

^^^if you get 20x10 +45 with 275/30/20 you will not rub.

Chico is right as usual. ;)

I have 20x10 +40 with 275/30's on the rear and Tein coilovers. My rears are rolled and have never rubbed a single time, even with 3 people in the back seat and stuff in the trunk.

For the rear only. Those won't fit in the front.

I got a question, I want to get 19s for my silver 03 Sedan and wanted to know if I would have problems with going 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 instead of the 35 front and 30 back profiles? I live in jersey and when you have rims the roads around here eat them up. Any one have experience with tork wheels? I really like this rim what do you guys think?

That should be fine as long as you get the right offset 19's and remember you might need to roll your fenders.

cooldog45 Feb 28, 2007 07:19 PM

im trying to get away without rolling the fenders would 45 offset be ok?

ttrank Feb 28, 2007 07:30 PM

Maybe, it depends on how far you are going down.

I had +43 for my last set of wheels and they were less than 2mm from my fenders after rolling! My rear was down on H&R 1.2" rear springs at that time.

blk180sx, what wheels are you getting?
cooldog45, +45 might rub depending on your drop and if it's 9.5" or 10" wide. I'm looking at mine which are 19x9.5 +45 and they are right with the fender line, so if you drop and don't have much negative camber it could rub...
