Spacer/tire question for sedan on coupe 19's w/ Z susp and OEM Brembo
A while back I got some coupe 19's and now I'm having a full Z suspension put on as well as the OEM Brembo's. I got wheels to clear the calipers and to run as a summer set. I still need to get 15mm (I think) spacers to run the stock 17's for the winter.
So my question is: 1. Will the spacers work with the coupe 19's and the drop w/out rubbing? 2. When the 245 width tires I got with the wheels go, can I get 255 or even 265 + spacers without rubbing? 3. Will 265 width even fit on the wheel? Any input would be great, thanks. |
265 with spacers, I doubt it... even if you rolled your fenders. There are guys stuffing 275's on the stock coupe rims but you're really pushing it with the spacers. Try it and let us know.

I'm trying to avoid finding out the hard way with my limited budget. My shop is supposed to help answer this when they are done with the work. But I figured I'd ask here. I'm guessing the rears might be the problem since they dont flare out?

There's no way you can go with a 255 or 265 without rubbing. They'll fit on the wheel, but will definitely rub. You can NOT run the spacers on the coupe wheels AT ALL. The coupe offsets are already flush with our fenders so pushing them out further is asking for rubbing.
1. NO 2. NO 3. YES -GP- |
that sucks, thanks for the info. Does that also mean that rolling the fenders won't help getting at least the 255's to fit in the rears?
Thanks again. |

take the spacer out of the equation then you can run 255 in the rear and roll/shave your fenders. oem brembo with z suspension and coupe 19s...:D thats dreamy..i wish i had it....be sure to post pics, lots of it :eek3:

Sounds like a great set-up except for the winter problem. Maybe you can get some 19" winter tires and just keep the coupe wheels on.

I "think" oem Z 17s or Coupe 18s will clear the factory brembos. So I'd run those on winter tires. A much cleaner solution vs running spacers on your stock 17s (I assume sedan oem 17s)

I was planning on using something like project kics with the studs in em so I can take them on and off easily as needed.

hmmmmm, using the 18's in the winter sounds soooo tempting and would be so easier and better looking. What to do, what to do? Thanks for making me go crazy with this! lol :D. This site keeps making me spend more $$$ that I don't have. And it's soooo addictive. Guilty pleasures..... |
