Door rattle guru's

Ok guys, i know we all have several rattles in our cars. My car, an 06 sedan 6mt with only 6000 miles, already needs a new rev-up engine due to excessive oil consumption. That doesn't actually bother me too much, however, I have this rattle in my driver side door that I cannot get rid of. I actually took off the door panel and took it for a ride and to my surprise, I had still had this rattle/ticking sound coming from the door. Although it was harder to hear from all the road noise coming in. Anyway, sounds like it maybe coming from inside the door where the window retracts. I of course only hear this when the window is up, but it is very consistent. Any suggestions on what I may try to do for this? Is there something with the window track, motor, or something else back there that could be making this noise?

Thanks guys.

there is a TSB... I don’t have the link to Infiniti TSB site but if you search on this site for TSB you'll find it. It's a common problem - I had it, it took a couple of trips to the dealer but it got resolved... they place felt pads in specific areas.

The seatbelt hanger buzz on the other hand is one that drives me nuts... Crawford Cats and Stillen exhaust make such a vibration and there is a certain frequency that makes that little POS buzz this little annoying freaking way that I can't stand... Can’t find a fix for that one.

I have basically the same rattle but it is in the rear pass window. If I crack the window just a hair it stops. It sound like its the felt pads as well. I hate it soooooo much!!!! :7: :7: :7:

Take these TSBs to year dealer... They did both on mine - the first one didn’t do sh!t (but they insisted it would be the fix)... the SECOND link is the fix! I had the exact same thing as you! Don’t let them use the silicone though, it just makes a friggin' mess when you roll the window down and that sh!t is a b!tch to clean off...
