Coupe side mirrors on sedan

I've been thinking about this...will the coupe side mirrors fit in 06 sedan? anyone had this done? if not can, someone photoshop on a DG? Thanks all.

G35Papa 10-12-2007 02:19 AM

Pretty sure they will not fit. Go to your local dealer and have a look at one up close to compare.

awong 10-12-2007 02:23 AM

i think it would look nice man but i doubt it would fit man ... too small

dofu 10-12-2007 07:28 AM

I remember looking into doing this. Although I can't remember why, there was a reason why I never did it.

jimmyc13 10-12-2007 12:54 PM

I asked this ? a while ago..>I think it does not work because of the angle of the windshield (the triangular piece won't match). I wanted to get the LED side mirror's "Scootch" is making (for coupe only)! :)

twofst4u 10-12-2007 09:51 PM

Now that you mention about that triangle piece...it make sense not fitting with all the angles.:( Perhaps I would do like what g35papa did to his side mirrors:biggthumpup: g35papa, when you get a chance can you post side view of your car with the painted triangle piece...I read it here somewhere that you done this mod, but I can't find it now:confused2: Thanks fellas!

G35Papa 10-12-2007 10:04 PM

LOL...you got me there for a second. Lookin' very nice! Thanks bro.

G35Papa 10-12-2007 10:16 PM

Gotcha! haha

No problem man. Very suttle but helps clean it up a bit IMO.

Stay tuned for no moldings and painted door handles in the spring...."maybe" a black roof.

Beautiful

G35Papa 10-15-2007 11:14 AM

Thanks Bert :)

jonE5 10-15-2007 01:33 PM

no moldings good idea, door handles, ehhh not sure, coudl have problems since you handle the handles so much, might scratch or flake

I would recommend putting some white vinyl on first just to test the look, should only cost about $10-15 for the amount you would need to cover all 4 handles, and if you do it right, might look good enough right there

jon!

az1anbeethoven 10-15-2007 01:34 PM

g35papa...ur sedan is friggin hot!

G35Papa 10-16-2007 01:20 AM

Thanks beethoven

jonE5...I'm painting them....remember, its Ivory "Pearl" not a regular white :)

ttrank 02-11-2008 10:25 PM

To bring this back I just looked at my fiend's coupe and I think they will fit.

G35Papa 02-11-2008 10:33 PM

hmm...I'm curious. I'll look at some of the norcal guy's coupes this weekend up close and see if its dooable.

ttrank 02-12-2008 12:02 AM

From what I saw the base is the same and I bet the mounts are too. There is a very good chance.

dofu 02-12-2008 12:52 AM

I remember the base being different...

G35Papa 02-12-2008 01:59 AM

Thats what I remember too Don but I honestly haven't taken anything apart to see. I'll see if one of the guys will let me have at it this weekend and take one of them off and mount it up to mine.
