So I've Been Using Driver.com For A Few Months Now
and I must say it's the friendliest, helpful, and quickest G site I've used. I tried out a few others and it just wasn't as organized as this one.
So with that said, I'd like to let some of you know the mods I will be doing to my car now that I've checked out most setups for sedans. Keep in mind, I'm a stock kind of guy, I enjoy enhancing performance by using whatever Nissan has as an upgrade. I either have or will be purchasing a Coupe Mid-Pipe HKS Exhaust Pop Charger M3 Lip Spoiler(played out, but its a cheap way to make that trunk look good, haha) M45 19" rims with some lower profile tires. In Dash Pioneer Screen Packing the doors and other compartments to get rid of that aweful shake from the speakers. Z-Tube(haven't bought yet, but wondering if it's overkill when combined with the other exhaust upgrades I'll be doing??) Coupe Seats, since I fall off of the sedan flats. Thats pretty much all I think I'm going to do. WHAT DO YOU GUY'S THINK, OH YEAH ITS PLATINUM SILVER SEDAN????? |
Pretty nice list man, once the mods start you can't stop, lol

nice list...
and yes this is the best G site :D |
That's a good list. I'm not sure if you have an 03/04 or 05/06 sedan but you may also want to consider the Nismo Kit (03/04) or an OEM front lip (05/06). What about a drop (doesn't have to be slammed, 1 inch makes a big difference)?

Smooth opening-line to flatter everyone - less chance of the "search" response’s D (just razzing ya)... Welcome!
Regarding the "packing doors and other compartments" to address speaker rattle... are you referring to upgraded speakers?... If not, the OEMs don't rattle much - but either way, what do you plan to use? Most sound deadening material and dampening material is quite heavy and of course the more you use the more weight you add... for audiophiles it doesn’t matter because they are usually more interested in audio sound quality over performance... but considering your list includes performance interests you might defeat that purpose by adding weight. I suggest choose one direction or the other - either thumpin' sound or performance… it's often not effective doing both. Good luck – and welcome to the Mod Addicts we all have the same desease! |
about the z-tube. The stock g-tube has a big sound baffle under it that keeps things quite. The z-tube is just a straight tube.. so in theory will make more sound. I wouldn't consider it a performance thing, just a sound thing.
I have z-tube (polished metal one) and i think its just a fun visual/sound mod. I bought the JWT (jim wolf) intake (pop charger). Its very well made. Lots of people like the stillen airbox (uses a square filter like stock) also. |
Don't forget the 10mm spacers upfront to clear the suspension for the M45s.
Congrats and glad to see another member infected with the mod bug ;) |
haha, thats my setup plan as well minus the coupe seats. I have the coupe middy, z-tube + popcharger for now, and waiting on the hks, and plenum spacer. gota say, you are gona love the sound of your G with a few of those mods. :driving: and yes, driver is the best forum i've been on~

Thanx for the welcome fella'z, and OCG good stuff on the audio, I never really thought about the weight factor, and I don't really want to add that much weight, I have an 03 and maybe for you other guy's its not as annoying, but this rattling drives me ******* crazy, if you got any other solutions please let me know.
Yeah I forgot to include the spacers, but 10's will definately be going on her. Yeah I want the Z-tube because most guys are saying it sounds heavenly, I saw the polished one and asked a dude whether it was really OEM and he said no in a very sarcastic e-tone. And I really meant that openly line, I mean I learned more about this car in a few months that I would have never learned otherwise, I'm from Lawrence, MA, its like ricer Haven, G's aren't too common. |

There is a really good thread out here where a guy did his entire car (removed seats, flooring, everything)… he didn’t use B-Quiet, but I don’t think he was all that concerned about weight. As for “other suggestions”… these cars (pre-07) are riddled with rattles… if you can isolate the area that it is rattling there are several fixes. If the “rattle” is simply from the vibration of the speakers, the sound deadening idea should help. Good luck! Have fun with your projects! |
