A few questions about your automatic tranny G's
 

Well, I've been enjoying my base model sedan for about 3 weeks now. This is my first rear drive vehicle and it feels a bit weird to me. When taking a turn, and hitting the gas, the G seems sluggish, but as soon as I come out of the turn, the G gets a kick in the pants and goes, eventhough the gas pedal is in the same position. Does your G do this as well? Is this VDC kicking in or somethings wrong with my car? Also, when shifting out of park, it seems the transmission jerks a bit, and the car drops to the ground. When engaging park from drive, the same thing happens, but the car come sup a little. IS there something wrong with the tranny or is this normal for the G? It just seems the tranny isn't as smooth as it is in my other cars like my TL and Avalon.

The "sluggish" feeling is most likely VDC interfering. Take a look at the "slip" indicator to make sure, it should be blinking when VDC kicks in. Be careful, when turning VDC off though, you might spin your rear wheels and loose control if you never had a RWD car before.

I'd pretty much guarantee that the sluggish feeling you get powering through a corner is the VDC system preventing you from fishtailing. Try that with the system off, and you'll be spinning the tires, and possibly facing the wrong direction if you don't correct it properly. Make sure you have plenty of room for mistakes before you start playing with VDC off for the first time.

The transmission does seem to give a little bit of a push when you shift into gear. I think that's just a trait of engines that produce a decent amount of low-end torque to the rear wheels -- it starts to push forward and loads the suspension a bit, causing the rear of the car to squat down, even though you're not moving. I had the opportunity to drive an old Corvette once, and it practically lurched when you shifted from P to D.

The slight "lifting" and "dropping" when shifting into and out of Park is normal. All of my auto tranny cars have done that to one extent or another, including my G35x.

I agree that your first question is likely caused by the VDC.

On the turn, it is possible that you get a downshift just as you are finishing the turn because of the normal delay. Try using the manumatic to shift to the appropriate gear and then accelarating out of the turn.

On the jerking issue, does it happen when you are parked on an incline? I make sure that the parking brake is on real tight and the tranny is not loaded. That might solve the issue.

it happens almost all the time even on level ground. i'm thinking this will go away with time since it's getting a little better as the mileage on the car builds on.
