Sticking hood hinges, what's the 'fix'?

I tried to open my hood today and I noticed that there was an unusual amount of resistance from the hinges, as if they were stuck. I slowly pulled it up when it start sticking to get a loud POP from the hinges. They are still intact, but I'd like to be able to repair this quickly. I can open the hood just about 5 inches short of getting the prop rod underneath.

Is there an easy way to get to the hinges to remove/replace them?

i had the same problem. i lubed the hinges up a few times, and allowed the lube to work in to the hinges by lifting up and down. it's been 6 months and i've had no problem since.

just keep applying lube on a regular basis (every other month or so) and the problem should go away.

i know some people have had the problem fixed at the dealer, but if you are out of warranty this should work...

Be careful as this could cause paint damage if not taken care of.

Our hinges....weather related from being left outside?

WD-40 until you get the hinges replaced, like they mentioned above the
issue with the hinges is a know problem.

Thanks for the advice! I cracked open the hood a bit and managed to spray down the hinges with a little bit of generic bolt spray lubricant (it's all I have at the moment.)

I guess I'll be hitting up Riverside for some hinges.

What there a TSB or recall on the hinges at all? I'm out of warranty...
