18 or 19'inch wheels??
I need some recommendation in choosing some wheels for my g35 sedan. The car is bone stock with aero package and I am not planning to drop the car any time soon due to the mean streets of SF. So 18 or 19's? Can anyone tell me the pro's and cons for 18 and 19'inch wheels. Thanks..

If roads are the main concern, 18s will give you more sidewall to the tire.

just get the 19's I have 18's and I wish i would have gone just a slight bit bigger it really gets to me.

tires for 19 inch rims are more expensive
|
me, i am using 18"s... Tires are cheaper and such a greater selection!

from a tire stand point its like 120$ per tire for 18 compared to about 200 per tire on 19 on average.
rims COST roughly the same maybe $50 more per wheel. as far as tire brand and selection i dont know. 18's are more cushioned. I'm looking at 18's from a $$$ point of view. |
if i want 18's with stagger spec, what off set do you guys recommend?

offset depends on what width you wanna run as well.
for tire price difference go to tirerack.com and build the same brand tires in 19 and 18 and see how much the price jumps. it varies. |

yes? usually the larger the rim the smaller profile tire, thus more expensive. For an inch its not huge.. sucks ending up like me regretting being a little too cheap with some pocket change for the extra inch. :7:

its because the demand for 20's are a lot higher then 19's in a sense. all the big balla's are looking for 20's and 22's so they sell more hence why they can afford to make them cheaper. Its not the cost of material its the how common they are.
19's aren't that common. 15-18's are easily found on commuter cars hence why they can be found sub 100$ in most cases. 19's i think are common found on sporty type cars. and well 20's are everywhere. |
I'll soon be going with some 18x8.5 +33 all around and running 245/40/18 all around...

^^^ that'll be flush!!
nice |
I'm running the stock 18x7.5 right now with some 20mm spacers, effectively giving me a +25 offset. So, the new wheels are only going to extend another 5 mm ;)
