Borla Exhaust? Where's the best deal
 

I'm still completely torn on this exhaust issue. I've read contradicting information regarding drones, power output, etc.

However, after reading everything, it seems my best chances are taken with the Borla.

This is what I gathered:
Borla:
Good value (price vs performance)
Quiet sound (preferably with minimal droning)

Stillen:
Great Sound
Perhaps a tad too loud
Potentially better power gains
Heavier

I do NOT want a loud exhaust at all. I can't stand droning exhausts they drive me crazy. I want a good, sporty exhaust that has minimal drone and won't be annoying when I drive my co-workers or friends around.

It seems like the Stillen is just going to be too loud, which is unfortunate because it sounds great. The Borla sounds like the conservative choice. On the other hand, people complain of a loss of torque with the Borla and how it has less gains then the Stillen. Although I can find no statistical number of how far apart the Stillen and Borla are.

With that said, I'd like to know where I can purchase the Borla exhaust for the best deal. I'll also leave this open to any exhaust related debates/experiences.

My current research shows everythingg35 to be the cheapest. Grubbs would be cheaper with the 8% discount, however I'm in the same state and have to pay sales tax.

Did you check Concept Z Performance? It's $650 shipped. That's where I bought mine. BTW, I think you will be pleased with the sound of the Borla. Not annoying at all.

which exhaust has a "deeper" growl, as in more V8 sounding, Borla or stillen?

The Borla has a deep throaty sound but it's not as deep as a V8. I haven't heard the Stillen.

Stillen also has better quality. And is a X pipe instead of a H pipe like the Borla.

Also Stillens uses bolt on flanges, and Borla just has joints with U clamps.

You pay for what you get like everyone always says.

Found this place that lists the exhaust for $599. Going through the motion's of ordering it, it does not pop up with a part number. I would call them with the part number in hand to place the order.

I'm aware of all that, I was a huge fan of the Stillen, but the noise levels are just too high.
