**help** air conditioning and radio aren't working properly!!

2003 Infiniti G35 73k miles, bought used. Previous owner looks like they had an aftermarket stereo system installed. For some reason the radio channels dont come in clear, its almost as if the antenna isn't connected and it picks up only the strongest signals. Secondly, my air conditioner is acting up. I hear the compressor click on but after a few seconds it shuts right off. Then minutes later it will do the same. I feel as if it worked better during colder weather. I believe the audio system and climate control are interrelated, correct me if I'm wrong. Any ideas on what my problem could be?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

So is the OEM radio back in the car?? Did u check to see if the radio antenna cable is plugged in behind the radio? There are confirmed situation where the OEM bose circuit board goes bad and the AC turns on only full blast.

I haven't checked to see whether or not the antenna is plugged in since its a big job. I've seen the DIY videos... I don't think its plugged in to be honest with you, but recently the radio just cuts out (no gradual static), and randomly comes back. The circuit board I think is fine, I think something was damaged or left unplugged when reinstalling the OEM radio.
