G35 Sedan Suspension Picture Compilation Thread

I have some experience with detailing but I don't have experience with various new type products. I'm the old school wash, claybar, compound, polish, wax guy. How does this new technology sealants/hybrid type waxes compare. Is it a longetivity thing (longer lasting) or is it visible more clear?

Thanks guys! I barely have had this car for about 3 months and have mods like JDM side markers, Muteki burnt lug nuts, Muffler delete with burnt tips, Tein Street Basis Z coilovers that I got two months after I installed Tein Lowering Springs, Adventus 20" wheels, and Injen Cold Air intake incoming! My color scheme is burned blue & white. I will post more pictures as my build progresses.

So someone recently from lowering springs to coil overs can you chime on feel vs the other. I mean like regular driving, spirited driving. We all know the benefits with adjustable coilovers. If you didn't know they were on there could you tell a difference. I'm just a 35 year old man that drives spirited from time to time and no track time in recent years

I don't track my car. I'm still in Highschool and have a side job with all my money going to my G. Lowering springs won't drop your car much and are softer. With coil overs there stiffer and you will feel the road more. Some people don't like it, I happen to love it. Honestly, anyone looking to lower there car should get Tein Street Basis Z coilovers as a cheaper alternative to more expensive coils. Make the jump past lowering springs. It's not worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I've been debating it for 2 months now is my last Mustang I had Eibach Sportiness and Tokico struts/shocks along with the usual suspension/chassis mods and loved the feel. At least on that platform of car I feel the coil overs were a bonus. Did you sell the springs yet, I might be interested if you wanna send me a pm. The Teins you got are the green color ones right?

I lowered mime with Z springs in front and G coupe springs in back. Gave me about 1" of drop. That's as low as I dare go without correcting the alignment. Also with the roads and parking lots here, I would tear the bottom up fast. If you go lower than 1", you need to replace the control arms in front and fit camber arms in back. It will eat your tires at a phenomenal rate. Mine has 1.6 degrees of positive camber (best they can do) and I still only get 20-22K out of a set (but the handling is fantastic!). Correcting just the toe will not help. All that adds to the expense of coil overs also.

I'm on Tanabe NF-210 lowering Springs, with a 1 inch drop in the front and .6 inch drop in the rear. I'm still using the stock struts and shocks but, the ride is great. However, I'll be getting a set of Bilstein B8 SP struts and shocks next year, along with a set of Tanabe front and rear sway bars. It's been proven that the right spring and strut and shock combo will rival some coil over setups. If I do go with coil overs, I'm going with a set of Ohlin coilovers. I think they're the best. A set of light weight 20s and 255 35 20s in the front and 285 30 20s in the rear help with handling as well but, one member had his forged 19s widened to 19x8.5 and 19x10s, I think he's wearing the same rubber just in 19s. I've found that the mild drop I have doesn't tear up the Inner tires but, my car handles beautifully. Their are so many people that say these cars are old but, they still surprise new and old owners.
