HID fog and D2R replacement

Reccomendation for "better" driving lights?? Stock. There are no better bulbs than stock. The higher you start going up in bulb temps, the more lumens and output you will lose. If you want some color... don't go higher than 6000k

Your stock bulbs are the brightest (trust me i have tried them all)

I'm really happy with my set up. 6K HIDs & fogs.

i got 8000K heads and fogs, i wish i would of went 10.000K in both as there is not really any hint of blue, just basically pure white, i like a blue hue in the hids also i should of bought both kits from the same company i bought em from different company and one is not a dead on match, the fog lights are a little bluer

Brighter lights require more lumens. To do that you would need to upgrade from 35 watt HID's to something like 50W which requires a ballast change and whatnot. Not very common.

Changing the K value only changes the color output of the light. The human eye cannot see blue, so even though everyone thinks 10K lights are bright, they are dimmer.

Stock is actually the brightest...there is a reason why engineers chose 4300K. The eye can see it nicely. If you want brighter, go with 3000K foglights. WHen you use the high beams, you'll see clearly since the eye can see yellow quite well

I have 6k lows and 3k fogs. It works amazing at night. The yellow really works (even in the rain, i got caught in a bad rainstorm in utah on my roadtrip, in the dark, and those 3ks lit the road up like a christmas tree.)

What 3K's are you running? I know Polarg makes a 3000K fog, but I don't know if anyone else does. I just installed Luminics Ultra Goldens, and they look awesome (3750K). My Saturday night test run in near perfect weather didn't really test them, but they were really bright. I think I'm going to look at some 6000K HID's down the road. The hint of blue will go nicely with the golden yellow.

I bought a plug 'n play kit off ddmtuning.com for $65 bucks (dont be fooled though, this stuff is actually pretty quality with life time warranties. None of this cheapo ebay crap)

Looks awesome. They are true 3ks, so when i first turn them on they are green then warm up to yellow lol
