Don't get excited, it just means 'to sell'. You probably want to go larger than 18" anyway, 19s look pretty nice. But a lot of people are doing them now. Maybe some M45 Sport 19s? Classy-looking wheels, those.

After taking a spin in DaveB's car today I'm pretty much sold on the idea of going with OEM replacements shocks/struts versus the D-Specs... The ride quality would be a major upgrade from my stock (non-sport with 60k miles) setup that's for sure. I'm sure the D-Specs are the best thing since sliced bread, but for comparison sake the OEM's will work fine for me. That being said, I'm planning on getting the Tokico HP's for the 350Z (vs the G35) unless someone has any compelling reason not to???

Also, I plan to "hone" out the downtube opening of the G37 HR y-pipe tonight before I put it on to sort of smooth the transition from the cats to the minutely smaller opening on the y-pipe. Pics to come...

Either go with the oem sport shocks if you can get them cheap enough for upgrade to D-specs or Konis (for their tunability). The Tokico HPs are just oem replacement shocks.

I have a pretty wide range of tunability with my Konis. I'm almost on full soft and the ride is probably near sport oem soft. I had them only 2-3 clicks firmer and the ride/performance was noticably higher. And that's not even near full stiff.

Go with z shocks/ struts. They are shorter. If you get the G, it will prematurely wear out the shocks/ struts.

After spending thousands and thousands of dollars on coilovers from all makes for different models, I've finally decided that unless your car is a track only car, coilovers are crap. I don't care how much they cost, they're still crap.

The best set-up I've had on the G so far is the Z S-Techs with Tokico D-Specs. IMO, I wouldn't mind better struts (thinking about Bilsteins), but these are by far less clunky, more comfy than the JICs, and so far, handling isn't that much different. The only good thing about coilovers is the ride height adjustability - I'm not used to sitting so high off the ground now... Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any real benefit to having them.

A strut and spring combo is so much more cost efficient than a single piece suspension, less noise, and they offer a much better quality ride. My only complaint with this current set-up I have now is that although the car handles the same, this suspension doesn't feel as sure footed as the JIC VIPs, but that may have something to do with the higher rear spring rate. And yes, the suspension is now tuned and very neutral. I'm still getting used to how neutral this suspension is since I had my last suspension set up with a lot of camber for tons of oversteer.

And please don't anybody mention Tein... they do make great products, but I still feel their R&D is crap. The spring rates on these springs are almost perfect, only they put them down for the wrong car. They're definitely much more comfy than the G S-Techs. As for their coilovers, I haven't been happy with any of their coilovers on any car but an old school Integ (pretty much one of the only cars they actually did any real R&D on).

Does anybody know whats up with the Evo sway bar? It not on their site anymore and know one is emailing back. Are they dumping stock and closing business?

Got them after owning my car for 4 years and wondering why I didn't do it day 1!.. Oh, now I remember... they used to cost an arm and a leg... (bought them on sale).

I would like to know as well, I emailed them also and i keep checking their site but nothing new. Some people say they stop production for a while and then they start another run.

Ah crap! You might know something like this would happen! I was really looking forward to getting a really nice rear sway bar for under $100

Get the front and rear bars. People have them for sale used for $200. Anyone that has the set from whatever maker only has high praise for the upgrade.

keep your eyes peeled some people sell theirs used once they upgrade to a g37 or a diff model ...
