will 225/55/17 rub in 06 G35x??

original tires are 215/55/17 so I'm just trying to get a little wider tires.
Will it rub or I won't even notice the difference?
No, I'm not dropped
thanks!

Doubt you'd even notice it if you are stock height.

225/55/17 is 10mm wider (0.4in) and is 0.4" larger in diameter.

A 235/50/17 is the exact same diameter, and 20mm wider. a 9.25" in tread width, it could safely mount to a 7" rim....that's if you like the muscular bulge look. I wonder how that would work on stock ride height??

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to rub no matter how wide the tires are on an X, especially with OEM 17" wheels.

I run 235/50/17 on my lowered G35x... plenty of space on either side.

If it's an X, you should do all 4 at the same time...esp considering they are different sizes and diameters.

here's another question along the same line as above.

I just bought some 215/55R17 replacements back in the summer. I have the 17x7 stockers on right now, but i have the chance to grab some real nice 17x7.5 wheels. What is the extra half inch width of the wheel going to do to the overall diameter?

here's a good tire calculator:

I want either the 19" Rays or the 18" Track from the 350z

I have 235-55-17 as my snow tires. Never rubs. For some reason, the larger tires fit the proportions of the car better. My summer tires are 245-45-18 and I don't rub on those either. I don't have the X, mine is a 6MT.

You'll be fine.
