My sedan is deformed

Yes I know I flared my fenders a bit. I'm running 20x9 +30 in the front with 245/30/20 tires -1 camber, perfect.

The rear, I'm coming up on my third setup, and it's still tucking

i tried.

1) 20x10.5 +43 with 275/30/20 -1.6 camber. tires Tucks too much, the rim was behind teh fender line.

2) 20x11 +36 with 275/30/20 and rear end lower another 3/4 inch, alignment adjusted camber to -1.6 still. The tires stretched too much, and still tucked.

3) 20x11 +36 with 295/25/20 camber remains at -1.6 . The rims are perfectly flush with the car, but tires STILL TUCKING close to 8MM!!!

I should've just gone with my gut and went with 305/25/20. Thing is they are very pricey (as expected). Anyway, the rim is flush with the fender, it's the tire that is tucked under the fender too much. I don't think anyone would notice these small things, but I stare at it everyday.

Anyways, I'll have updated pix this weekend for my final setup #3. Just to let you guys know, if any of your 1st sedaners wanna get creative, our car is definitely capable. LOL

This is how they looked at option #1, at the beginning stage.

These are option #2, as you can see, it slightly just gets better and better. The option #3 295's look the best now (pix to come) but doesn't look perfect perfect yet.

the pix will come this weekend. I barely got the tires put on last night. It's better, but still not perfect. G SEDAN needs perfect.

BTW, in all three options, the rear camber is set at -1.6

Jeff92se 12-10-2009 04:20 PM

Don't know how it could be better than option 2. But damn, that's a nice fitment for 1.6 deg of camber. I could live with that number.

so for each option, you got the wheels reworked?

G SEDAN 12-10-2009 04:23 PM

yeah the wheels are 3 piece so I can get creative with the fitment. I had the lip replaced between option 1 and 2, so it got 1/2 inch bigger. It wasn't cheap, but I got the wheels sponsored so it still worked out to my favor in the end.

My gf thinks I'm crazy for changing it up and it still looks the same to her. I think I am going crazy and obssessive over it. I just want REALLY WIDE tires in the rear. 295's are good, but 305's would be better. I've seen the crazy stretch and negative camber that sedans run to fit, and I honestly believe my car is a deformed or devil brain child of the sedan, because it's been fitting everything I throw at it and still wants more. Anyway, I got a good deal on these 295s, and my 275s are for sale SUPER CHEAP with 500 miles put on (if that) if anyone is interested!

It's looking better and better as you say. Can't wait to see Option 3.

Frankieg35 12-10-2009 04:44 PM

you always make fun of people that do things based on sponsorship...

You disappoint me :p

G SEDAN 12-10-2009 06:17 PM

hahahahahaah got me there.

I do have 1 partial sponsorship on my wheels, SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

BUTTTTT...if ADR, Tenzo-R, or ROTAS every decide to sponsor me, you best believe I would not dog on DPE's! ;)
