Interest Thread - Alum. Washer Fluid Tube
#16
Almost there guys. I've been looking into different ways to bring the price down. I'm working with a different machine shop now and I should have a final prototype tomorrow. I have also been polishing an earlier prototype and just finished part of it. Originally I was planning on outsourcing the polishing. It would be done by a very reputable company who are excellent at what they do. If I were to polish it, the price would be roughly $25-30 lower. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to polish it to the same quality as them, but it will be close. Here is a pic of the polished part. Only the left half is polished. It was done rather quickly so production quality would be better. I will be showing it to a sedan tester this week and will get his opinion on it. I'll also get better pictures of my polished finished on the final prototype

So it took quite some time but here are some installed pics. Keep in mind that this is a prototype and some changes will be made. There is no bracket in the pics but the bracket will be hidden below the radiator shroud. It is also unpolished. I may have the cap sit lower than it is in the pics, what do you guys want?

I'll definitely be picking one up soon.
I lowered the height so the cap sits lower now. Looks much better to me, I'll get some pics up later today. Also, I should have a final cost for you guys on Monday. I'm aiming for $100-110 shipped.

Sorry I didn't get the pics up yesterday. It rained all day and I wanted to pull my car out to get some better lit pictures. Here is current version of the prototype, only difference is that the cap sits lower. Machinist will be getting back to me tomorrow so I should have a price figured out for you guys by Wednesday at the latest
I should be meeting up with 4DGS on Wednesday to test fit it on his sedan. The part number is the same as the coupes so I'm sure it will fit

^+1...in for introductory group buy pricing! I was just going to run without the tube but that cap looks to be the same one as what is on Sean's powersteering tank? Would be a perfect match for his other tank/s I'll have.
Oh aslo, coupe/sedan share the same washer fluid bottles.
Whoo hoo!

I met up with 4DGS today to test it on his car. Fits perfectly Can't wait to see his car finished...going to look sick!
A bit of a delay on pricing. I am working on ways to lower the cost and bring the weight down. I think I have a solution that will do both, just need to have a prototype of it machined. After that, production run is the next step. Also, there will be an introductory price for the first run
